What do you think if someone says we are made of paper?

he/she thinks we are fragile? or we can be drawn on?? blank and you can write on? good metaphor I think..why not!
What do you think if someone says we are made of paper?
That we are all born pure, innocent , untainted....and life will put color on the white background.......different colors.....for better or worse ...

Thats what I think
What do you think if someone says we are made of paper?
We are all fragile, easily torn up or burned, thrown away, impressed upon by other people%26#039;s thoughts, mutilated, revised and destroyed.

However, just because you can draw on yourself does not mean you are paper.
Reply:that we are all the same

everything about us is written on paper, in black and white, how when you take everything away, all thats left is the facts, mine would say

female

brown hair

blue eyes

5ft3

slim build

%26quot;an average achiver, with an innoffensive personality%26quot;

when you take away, reality, and what people are and are really like, we are just all the same, a list. facts on a peice of paper, taking away any individuality, or difference or special things we have away.
Reply:It must be a metaphor, sure it works in some cases
Reply:I would say it means that we are fragile and easy to damage. By the way I don%26#039;t agree with that statement. In fact we are very strong and resilient--not like paper at all. The part of us like paper is our ego which is easily bruised and damaged, but we are far greater than our egos. %26quot;.....Weapons cannot pierce it, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, wind cannot dry it.%26quot; %26quot;It is never born, never dies and never ceases to be.%26quot;

You are that, not paper at all.
Reply:I wuold suppose that someone feels we are controlled by someone else who designs us(paper boats,airplanes, flowers etc), cuts us into shapes(square,circle, elongated etc), writes on us(sad, happy etc), makes us withstand windblows or snowstorms or get shattered/crumpled by them.

Overall, that someone thinks we dont govern our own

selves.
Reply:who said that?? That%26#039;s a weird comparison rofl.
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure exactly what she means but the Chinese were calling people paper long ago. It gave reference to someone who was weak or fragile. I have heard of the expression %26quot;Paper Tiger%26quot; which means someone who acts real macho and courageous, but they are really timid and weak when it comes down to it.
Reply:do you mean we are same as trees ?

yes we are from the earth but we are the walking trees and paper comes from trees yes ?

hm thats all i got, stoned question.
Reply:Does that someone have a different definition of %26quot;paper%26quot; than nearly everyone else?
Reply:First thing which came to my mind was : fragile, vulnerable.

%26quot;paper thin%26quot;.

Whoever uses other metaphors like napkins ......hidden observations, codes , meanings ? somebody who is used and discarded ? we are all recyclable ? or we are like sponges : people need others%26#039; interactions and feedback for their thoughts, feelings etc..

infringements...no clue here...makes me think of curtains for some reason. Wallpaperflower ? : somebody who just passes unnoticed ?
